Kiambu Senator KIMANI WAMATANGI removed as Senate Majority Whip for joining RUTO’s UDA.

 

Thursday, March 17, 2022 – The Jubilee Party has kicked out Kiambu County Senator, Kimani Wamatangi, as Senate Majority Chief Whip.

This comes four days after the famous Kiambu senator joined Deputy President William Ruto‘s United Democratic Alliance(UDA) and endorsed his presidential bid in August.

Wamatangi has been a close president Uhuru Kenyatta ally for a long time.

However, the dramatic change of events made the Head of State request all his aides to do a good ground check after a good number of Jubilee leaders dumped the party for UDA.

During UDA’s National Delegates Conference(NDC), several leaders from the president’s backyard joined the famous Hustlers nation team.

Among them was Wamatangi, Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria, and the former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo.

The three leaders promised to work hand in hand with Ruto to ensure he wins the August 9th Presidential election.
