Wednesday, March 16, 2022 – Narc Kenya Chairperson Martha Karua has finally revealed the political coalition she will join ahead of the August 9th presidential election.
The election is shaping up to a two-horse race between former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto.
Raila is endearing himself to the masses through Azimio La Umoja Movement, while Ruto is using hustler narrative to market himself.
Most politicians in the country have already decided on the coalition they will join but Martha Karua, who is also known as ‘the iron lady’ in social circles, is yet to decide on the side she will join.
However, on Wednesday, Karua hinted at the political side she will join ahead of the high-stakes election.
Karua made the declaration on social media after one of the local dailies claimed she is in limbo after her former teammates from One Kenya Alliance (OKA) and Mt Kenya forum split with others declaring support for Raila and others Ruto.
“Article informed by real or feigned ignorance. No requirement that an individual or party must join a coalition, and joining one is not an emergency.
“It can be before or after elections or not at all,” Karua wrote on her Twitter page.
