Friday, March 18, 2022 – Narc Kenya Chairperson, Martha Wangari Karua, has finally revealed her next political move after she refused to join former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s Azimio La Umoja Movement and Deputy President William Ruto‘s Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
There have been speculations that the ‘Iron lady’ may join the two political powerhouses ahead of the high-stakes August 9th presidential election.
However, speaking on Friday, Karua insisted that she is not joining the two political bandwagons and she will instead vie for Kirinyaga gubernatorial seat using the Narc Kenya ticket.
Karua further said she is not ready to deputise anybody and she will focus all her energies to win the Kirinyaga county gubernatorial seat.
The former Justice and Constitutional Affairs Minister will now battle it out with incumbent Governor Anne Waiguru and Purity Ngirici.
Waiguru is defending her seat using United Democratic Alliance(UDA) while Ngirici is on an Independent ticket.
