See how clever RUTO set UHURU up yesterday with a fake State House meeting? The President was left looking like a fool!

Friday, March 18, 2022 – President Uhuru Kenyatta has denied calling for a meeting with Mt. Kenya leaders at the State House.

In a statement, State House Spokesperson Kanze Dena dismissed reports on the meeting, saying they are fake and misleading.

“His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta’s attention has been drawn to misleading information circulating online on a purported meeting with Central Kenya elected leaders this week.”

“The President did not convene nor postpone any such meeting. Therefore, the information is false and misleading,” Kanze said.

She added that the President’s diary is fully packed for a series of events and that the alleged meeting could not have happened as claimed.

“His Excellency President Kenyatta’s diary for the remainder of the week and the weekend ahead has several public engagements of which Kenyans will be duly informed through established platforms,” she said.

Earlier, leaders allied to Deputy President William Ruto alleged that the president had called for the meeting.

Some of the leaders who made the claim include Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika.

The team said they will not attend the meeting, saying that they had been invited at a time they had moved on.

Kuria told the president that he had ignored them at the hour of need, and therefore, he should not invite them for a meeting now.

The meeting was allegedly called off after Ruto’s allies indicated that they will not attend.
