MOSES KURIA in deep trouble for claiming they rigged RAILA in favor of UHURU in 2013 and 2017 as IEBC takes action against him.

Thursday, March 17, 2022 – The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has reacted to Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria’s claims of vote-rigging in the 2013 and 2017 General Elections.

In a statement, IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati launched a probe into allegations by Kuria to ascertain the truth over rigging claims.

He stated that the commission was aware of the remarks by Kuria and they were looking into them.

“We are aware of what he said but people always have their versions of what they said. So our investigation team is probing before we summon him,” Chebukati said.

On Tuesday, Moses Kuria generated a lot of buzz on social media after he claimed that they rigged ODM Leader Raila Odinga’s votes in favour of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

He was speaking during the UDA NDC on Tuesday where DP William Ruto was unveiled as the UDA party flagbearer.

“Kuna wengine wanasema ati kura ya mlima itagawanywa; mheshimiwa Ann Waiguru, Rigathi Gachagua, Muthomi Njuki, Kimani Ichung’wa, Senator Linturi, Alice Wahome, Faith Gitau, Kimani wa Matangi…Sisi ndio tulikuwa tukishikilia Uhuru kura, na sisi ndio tulikuwa tunamuibia kura,” Kuria stated.

Loosely translates to: “Some people are saying that the Mt Kenya votes will be divided; Governor Ann Waiguru, Rigathi Gachagua, Muthomi Njuki, Kimani Ichung’wa, Senator Linturi, Alice Wahome, Faith Gitau, Kimani wa Matangi… we are the ones who protected Uhuru’s votes and we are the one who rigged for him votes”.

Kenyans took to social media to demand action even as leaders asked the IEBC to summon the MP.
