Thursday, March 17, 2022 – ANC Leader Musalia Mudavadi has sensationally warned Kenyans against electing ODM Leader Raila Odinga as the 5th president of Kenya, saying they would cry in the toilet should they ignore his warnings.
Speaking during the crowning of Deputy President William Ruto as the UDA presidential candidate, Mudavadi claimed that Raila will be a remote-controlled president if elected in the forthcoming General Election.
According to Mudavadi, President Uhuru Kenyatta is heavily supporting Raila to take over from him so that he (Uhuru) can use him as a tool to rule the country even after his retirement.
He called on Kenyans to elect a working leader who will not be a puppet of the minority but who will work for Kenyans.
“We do not want a puppet regime or puppet leaders. We do not want a remote-controlled leader in Kenya; we want a leader who is hands-on,” Musalia Mudavadi said in an indirect reference to Raila Odinga who many have termed a project of President Uhuru.
Mudavadi’s warning comes barely days after Deputy President William Ruto said the opposition chief will be controlled by some selfish individuals aiming at safeguarding their interests.
In his charm offensive of the Gusii region, the deputy president claimed that some powerful individuals in government were busy planning how to take over power using Raila and rule from the background.
“While we are busy planning how the lowest Kenyan will be uplifted, some other operatives are busy in hotels planning how to install a puppet president who they will control as they want so that their selfish interests continue being served. We are not fools to accept such schemes,” Ruto said.
