Wednesday, 16 March 2022 – Deputy President William Ruto was reportedly angry with Dennis Itumbi for squandering part of money set aside to organize UDA’s National Delegates Conference at Kasarani.
A clip has emerged showing the DP scolding Itumbi as he made his way to the podium to accept his nomination as the party’s flag bearer.
He was visibly not happy after spotting Itumbi.
The self-declared Hustler Nation spokesman looked disturbed after Ruto scolded him.
He tried to shout and absolve himself from blame even after the DP walked past him.
According to well-placed sources, Ruto handed Itumbi Sh 15 million to make the event as glamorous as possible but Itumbi failed on his part.
The stage was evidently small and disorganized, prompting leaders, UDA senior officials and musicians hired to entertain the delegates to jostle for space.
The sound system also kept on malfunctioning.
Itumbi was spotted running like a headless chicken during the event to try and clear the mess.
