Wednesday, March 16, 2022 – Kapseret Member of Parliament, Oscar Sudi, has dismissed an opinion poll conducted by Radio Africa that showed that former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is likely to be the fifth President of Kenya.
The poll, made public on Tuesday, indicated that if elections were held today, Raila Odinga would garner 47.4 percent of the total votes, followed by Deputy President William Ruto with 43.4 percent.
Former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka emerged third with 1.9 percent and KANU Chairman Gideon Moi closed the shop with 0.5 percent. Over 3000 respondents were interviewed
Reacting to the poll, Sudi, who is a close ally of Ruto, dismissed the poll, saying it had been sponsored by the deep state.
The lawmaker claimed the poll’s sponsors were bitter because Ruto’s popularity exceeds that of Raila by 24 percent.
“This is not The Star authoring this newspaper, it’s the Deep State doing their routine work. Tumewazoea hawa wakora. They are bitter because we are ahead of them by 24%. Wakora wa kawaida,” Sudi wrote on his Facebook page.
