 Friday, February 10, 2023 – The alleged raid of former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i’s home has sparked fears among former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s allies who worked as his Cabinet Secretaries.

So worried are the former Cabinet Members that they have sought the help of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to prevent them from being raided and arrested by President William Ruto’s ‘boys in uniform’.

Speaking during an Azimio retreat in Machakos, former Defence CS Eugene Wamalwa claimed that Ruto is after them for standing with Uhuru and Raila during the last election.

He begged Raila to take the address of his home just in case Ruto goes after him at night as he went after Matiang’i.

According to him, the move by the government to pull out their security detail was to expose them and make them vulnerable to arrests.

However, he thanked Raila for standing with them, and especially for driving to Matiang’i’s residence at night to prevent his looming arrest by Ruto’s government.
