This is what MIGUNA MIGUNA has said after the court ordered Kirima Land squatters to vacate before December 31.

Tuesday, October 24, 2023 – Another demolition is looming in the Njiru, Mihango, and Choka areas of Nairobi after an Environment Court on Monday declared that the contested 1000-acre piece of land belongs to late former Starehe Member of Parliament, Gerishon Kirima.

This judgment has triggered widespread distress and upheaval among the affected residents.

For many, this land has been their home and livelihood for years, and they now face the daunting task of vacating the property by December 31.

Miguna Miguna, a vocal and controversial figure in Kenyan politics, wasted no time in responding to this court order.

He criticized the judge for what he perceived as haste in delivering the judgment.

Miguna questioned why the judge did not explore crucial questions surrounding the land’s ownership, such as how the late Kirima had acquired it.

In Miguna’s view, this hasty ruling failed to address the alleged land-grabbing by Kirima, which he vehemently opposed.

“The judge was in so much hurry (your guess is as good as mine why) that he couldn’t ask a simple question: how did Kirima acquire the land? Didn’t he grab it?

“If so, why reward a land-grabber?,” Miguna wrote on his X platform.
