GACHAGUA reveals whether he will work with JOHO, OPARANYA, MBADI and WANDAYI who were nominated to the cabinet without his knowledge

 

Monday, July 29, 2024 - Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has revealed whether he will work with four ODM members who were nominated to the cabinet by President William Ruto last week.

The four ODM leaders nominated to the cabinet are; Hassan Joho (Mining and Blue Economy), Wycliffe Oparanya(Cooperatives and MSMEs), John Mbadi (Treasury ), and Opiyo Wandayi (Energy and Petroleum docket)

Speaking on Saturday, Gachagua said he has no issues working with the four leaders, who are close allies of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

"I have no objection with the new nominees and formation of broad-based Government by the President.

" Let the new nominees come we work together for the people of Kenya. 

"As the Deputy President and Principal Assistant to the President, my work is to support him, respect and be loyal to him. 

"I support his decisions," Gachagua said. 

"We have no problem (with the formation of a broad-based Government by the President); we are contented with his decision. 

"Let the new nominees come we work together for the people of Kenya. 

"My work is to support the President, be loyal, advise, and work with him," Gachagua added.

At the same time, Gachagua urged Kenyans to participate in governance and decision-making processes.
