The music industry is not a bed of roses - Grandpa Records CEO REFIGAH tells BAHATI

Wednesday, January 27, 2016 – Popular Kenyan music producer, Yusuf Noah, popularly known to many as Refigah, has advised gospel singer Bahati to revert his decision of quitting music.

Speaking during an interview, the producer, who is also the founder of GRANDPA Records, told the award winning gospel singer that the music industry is not a bed of roses as many people think.

Refigah further told Bahati that his retirement will be a big blow to his fans, adding that if he has reached to a point where his fellow musicians are plotting evil against him, then he should know that he has made it musically or business-wise.

“He (Bahati) is one of the most obedient, disciplined artistes I have ever come across and has all the qualities a good artiste should posses. Great songwriter, brilliant recording artiste, energetic stage performer and his PR is quite something. I would however like to advice my younger brother to drop his retirement agenda because the music industry, or showbiz in general, is not a bed of roses. Your retirement will not make any significant change but will only hurt your fans and if you take time to come back believe me you won't find them waiting for you! Bahati you have all the reasons not to quit the music industry because when your competitors get to a level of allegedly blackmailing you, buying people to frame you, blogs to damage your good name then you should know that musically or businesswise you have made it.” Refigah said.
