Friday, January 21, 2022 – Revered blogger and social media commentator, Robert Alai, has revealed the main reason why Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader, Musalia Mudavadi, has not invited former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to the ANC’s National Delegates Conference (NDC) at the Bomas of Kenya on Sunday.
On Thursday, ANC Secretary-General, Simon Gikuru, said ANC has not invited Raila because he is Mudavadi’s competitor.
However, Gikuru said they have invited Wiper Democratic Movement Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, his Ford Kenya counterpart Moses Wetangula, and KANU Chairman Gideon Moi, who are all principals of One Kenya Alliance (OKA).
“We have already invited OKA principals. I have not seen any invitation for Raila.
“Neither have I seen one for Jubilee. Why would we invite our competitors when we are launching our bid for the presidency?
“To come and do what?” Gikuru posed.
Commenting on Twitter on Friday, Alai said Mudavadi refused to invite Raila Odinga because Deputy President William Ruto would attend the event.
“Baba is reportedly not welcomed because William Ruto has planned to make a surprise appearance at the Mudavadi’s NDC,” Alai claimed on his Twitter page.
