SHOCK as it emerges that the lady brutally murdered and her body dumped in a suitcase might have been killed by her husband – See what detectives discovered.

Friday, 21 January 2022 – The brutal murder of 18-year-old Esther Wambui, whose body was found stashed in a suitcase in Ruiru on Monday morning, has taken a new twist after detectives discovered that her 23-year-old husband, Simon Ngige, might have been involved in the murder.

According to detectives, Ngige’s version of Monday events contradicts what witnesses have given.

When he was quizzed by detectives, he claimed that he escorted Wambui to work on Monday at 5.40 am, the fateful day her body was found dumped outside Recce Squad camp.

He added that he did not reach her place of work but returned to their house around 6.20 am.

However, witnesses revealed that Wambui’s body was found at 5.30 am on Monday, thus contradicting her husband’s report.

Security camera footage at Wambui’s workplace shows she left for home on Sunday at 8.30 pm.

That was the last time she was seen alive.

Her husband did not pick her up from work as he usually does.

Police believe she was waylaid by her killers when she was returning home from work.

The killers inscribed words on her body that read, “Bwana ya mtu ni sumu,” but detectives said the writing could be a ploy by the killers to lead investigators on the wrong path.

Co-workers described her husband as a jealous lover, adding that her marriage was troubled.

Wambui and Ngige got married 7 months ago after she dropped out of school in Form Two and traveled to Nairobi without informing her parents.
