ALFRED MUTUA finally makes up his mind and reveals who he will support for president between RAILA and RUTO – This is huge!

Thursday, February 10, 2022 – Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua has finally made the big announcement regarding who he will support for president in the August polls.

Speaking during an interview earlier today, Mutua said he will vote for ODM Leader Raila Odinga in the event he does not vie for the presidency.

The second-term governor noted that he is leaning towards the Azimio La Umoja movement under Raila.

He maintained that despite being in the Azimio political camp, he has not stepped down in his bid to clinch the presidency.

Mutua revealed that he has a soft spot for the ODM leader Raila, owing to his democratic ideals, and said he will not back him in the event he changes his mind in vying for the top seat.

“If I am not going to run for the presidency, if anything happens, for example, I am unable to run for whatever reasons and I am still able to vote, I will vote for Raila.

“Because I know what he stands for. But for now, I hope Raila will get to a point and say ‘Mutua is better, he is a younger version of me’,” he said.

Mutua is among the three of the Ukambani governors who have rallied behind the Odinga presidency, even as they have openly dismissed Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s bid for the top seat.

The others include Kitui governor Charity Ngilu and her Makueni counterpart Kivutha Kibwana.
