Thursday, February 10, 2022 – Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary-general, Francis Atwoli, is among the suspects who have been mentioned in the assassination of late Kabete MP, George Muchai.
Muchai, who was the COTU deputy Secretary-General, was assassinated along Kenyatta Avenue, Nairobi, on February 5, 2015.
During the time of his assassination, Muchai had moved to the high court requesting the court to order for the audit for COTU accounts and freeze its bank accounts.
Muchai had also disclosed that COTU boss Francis Atwoli operated 13 secret accounts in six banks locally and abroad.
In his interview with one of the local dailies, Muchai, in what can be seen as a premonition of his death, said his would-be killers had published a story in The Citizen Weekly alleging that he was sleeping with a senior politician wife so that when he dies police will be ‘thrown off the scent’ and start probing a ‘love triangle’.
Here is a video of Muchai revealing how his enemies were alleging that he was sleeping with a politician’s wife and claimed it was all lies.
George Muchai, Kabete member of parliament was executed in a gangland style attack by masked men with assault rifles.
