See how UDA delegates mocked UHURU as they endorsed RUTO to face RAILA in the August presidential contest? This is how it all went down.

Wednesday, March 16, 2022 – UDA delegates attending the National Delegates Conference (NDC) at Kasarani yesterday broke into song and dance while mocking President Uhuru Kenyatta as they unveiled Deputy President William Ruto as the UDA presidential candidate for the August 9th General Election.

This was after the delegates sang “Yote yawezekana bila Uhuru” in unison while crowning Ruto.

The joyous delegates’ interrupted the UDA Secretary-General Veronicah Maina’s speech as well as Ruto himself to sing the infamous chorus in a direct attack against Uhuru.

The animated delegates were seen chanting the chorus with their hands in their air.

During the NDC, Ruto was unanimously nominated as the party’s presidential candidate in the August 9 elections.

In his acceptance speech, Ruto expressed his pride at the growth of his party which he claimed already had seven million members.

“I thank our party delegates for bestowing upon me the responsibility of representing the UDA in the forthcoming presidential elections.”

“I am honoured, and I accept your nomination to be the UDA candidate in this year’s presidential election. I will do my very best to exceed your expectations.”

“I shall neither stop, pause, slow down nor hesitate until what you have asked of me is delivered.”

He said his party is open to any Kenyan from any background, adding it “is a party where you will not be asked about your father’s name or to give your bank account,” Ruto stated.
