Thursday, March 17, 2022 – Arsenal fans in Kenya are blaming former Prime Minister Raila Odinga after the Gunners lost to Liverpool FC in a Premier League clash on Wednesday evening.
During the mouth-watering clash at Emirates Stadium, Arsenal was thrashed 2-0 by the well-organized Liverpool side.
Following the defeat of the gunners, fans in Kenya blamed Raila Odinga since he was one of the thousands of spectators who thronged the Emirates Stadium to watch the game.
Before the game, Raila had predicted that Arsenal, which he ardently supports, would win the match by two goals.
However, by the end of the 90th minute, the results were exactly the opposite, thanks to second-half goals scored by Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino.
Following the disappointing result, Kenyan Arsenal fans linked the defeat to Raila’s attendance.
Here are some of the comments.
“Bad omen at Emirates. With the faces you have put on, what else were you expecting from the Arsenal side. The king of Losers was around and it was obvious Arsenal was to lose by force or by fire,” Dan Vernpezio wrote.
“Arsenal was on a good winning streak until the perennial losers brought bad omen to Emirates. Losing is in your DNA..this is how you will lose terribly in the August general elections,” Alex Jagra.
“The biggest failure (the son of Oginga) is supporting Arsenal and at the same time, you’re expecting to win! Be serious guys,” Ahmed Abdullah.
